Overview
The lush green Empress Garden, Pune is spread in over 39 acres and located near the Pune Race Course. It is managed by the Agri-Horticultural Society of Western India since 1880, and we have to admit they have managed it well. It is a good place for a picnic with family, friends, and kids. There is a dedicated kid play area where kids can enjoy different types of slides, swings, spring toys and many more. Few activities are paid like the Dragon train, trampoline jumping, toy train etc. You can also enjoy horse cart ride and a small train ride that takes kids as well as adults for a garden ride.
Overall this is a good place to visit at any time of the year. Your kids will love this place. This place is equally enjoyable with your friends if you want to go for a picnic. This garden is generally jam-packed on Weekends and holidays. This is couple friendly as well, you will see a section of the garden dedicated to them, just avoid that section if you are with your kids.
The garden has a canteen and food zone, where you can enjoy street food at a reasonable price. This garden also has restrooms for men and women. Empress Garden, hosts Annual Flower show in January, I am planning to visit the show in January.
